rent a bike in rome for 2months

Hi, I will be going to Rome for a whole 2 months as a student. I would like to know how much it would cost to rent a bicycle for 2months - cheapest prices would be great!

A top of the range road bike probably 35 Euro, a sit up and beg about Euro 10 if you are renting for a couple of weeks. But for 2 months you might do better to buy second hand.

Go to Google maps. Go to the area you intend to rent/live and type in "negozio bici" and follow the red dots, some will probably offer longer term rents.

That's €10-35 a day. Or €600-€2,000 for two months.

€35 is what an ATAC pass costs you for a month's unlimited travel on buses, trams and tubes. Walking, as everywhere, is free.

What on earth is the point of throwing money away on a form of transport that's horrendously dangerous, absurdly expensive and simply not suitable for getting around real cities?

Buy a second hand bike, especially if you really want one for three months, in Terni as well.

I can't recall seeing bikes in central Rome except on Sunday when they close off the road in front of the Colosseum. Where would you store the bike in Rome if you are living in Terni? If you are planning to take it on the train with you everyday, that will cost 3.50€ per day for a ticket for the bike

I really think you need to choose somewhere to stay much closer to Rome if you are going to be commuting every day.

So sad, but Rome has now been moved off the options table, but if I would go to Italy for my study year then I'm gonna be going to Florence, or at least that's what it seems like at the moment.
