RENFE train drivers strike: 12 and 15 September 2014
 

Friday and Monday 12 & 15 September will be dates of train driver strike in Spain. As normal there will be a minimum services running.

We have purchased tickets online from Petrabax to travel from Cordoba to Madrid on September 12. Does anyone know what we should do about it? I think the tickets are non refundable. Also, if we still prefer to travel on the 12th instead of changing our day of travel around the strike, would a bus be a reasonable option?

Renfe is still offering tickets on the all of the Cordoba-Madrid AVEs on the 12th. They are not selling tickets on the trains (LD-MD 99342, ALVIA 04381 and AV City 02371) that will be affected by the strike on that date.

Check with Petrabax. Tickets should be refundable due to a strike, but only if you check ahead.

Buses are always an option.
