My wife and I returned earlier this month from a 10-day cruise on Ren to Tahiti and four other islands in French Polynesia. Everything Ren told us was true. We had a marvelous time. New ship, fine food, excellent accommodations, attentive staff, etc. Neighbors went with Ren to Athens and Istanbul earlier this year and had a similar experience. Neither of us have any connection with Ren or with the travel industry.

My parents just came back from a Ren cruise 10 day Spain and Portugal with a group of friends. They loved it. No kids, no formal nights or fixed seating arrangement for dinner, very relaxed. As for land tours, even though they went with the cruise excursions, they recommended renting your own car and explore.

Some family members of mine just returned from the Barcelona-Lisbon cruise. They were first-time European travelers. They were thrilled with every aspect of the trip, including on-time chartered plane departures and arrivals. They said everything went like clockwork; luggage was where it was supposed to be, they were met at airports and cities by cruise representatives. There was one change in itinerary due to weather conditions so they had a few hours less in Gibralter than expected, but that gave them more time on the next stop.
They did mention that the optional land excursions were expensive, and after the first one they managed quite well on their own.
You might want to check the "Cruise"
travel lounge on this Fodors website for more extensive comments.

Yes, they are for real. We did a Greek
Islands and Turkey cruise with them 3 months ago and it was perfect. Great,
new ships, fine staff, lovely surroundings. Just the right amount of passenger/crew ratio. Not like other cruise ships where they are constantly trying to sell drinks and shore excursions. Please contact us directly for more information. We recommend it highly and we are very experienced cruisers.

We have taken 2 Renaissance cruises and are leaving on our 3rd-The R ships are gorgeous, the food is good, the atmosphere is casual-We compare them to a floating hotel. We are not tour group people and visit each port on our own. It is an EASY way to travel and get an overview on an area.
