Relis do Louvre or Hotel des Grandes Hommes
 

I've been searching this forum for a trip to Europe,that includes Madrid,Barcelona,Seville,Paris and Vienna.Now I'm in doubt about staying in the hotel Relais du Louvre or des grandes Hommes.I'm travelling with my wife and one child 5 y old.Comments about location,friendliness of staff, the physical characteristics of the hotels(space in the room?) would be very appreciated.I'm booked in a triple room for 180 euros in the Relais and in a superior room in the Grandes Hommes for 140 euros.Thank you very much for the input

I've stayed in the Relais du Louvre and its a favorite of mine. THe staff could not be any nicer or try harder to accommodate. Also, they speak English very well (if that's important).

Also, I love the location as its VERY central...the 1eme? As to the rooms, one has to remember this is built in a very old building, so the rooms while not HUGE, I think are quite nice. There is space. VERY clean and decorated nicely.

I stayed at the Hotel du Pantheon which is adjacent to the Hotel des Grande Hommes. I was told by the staff at Pantheon that the rooms next door were similar in design and style which to me meant they are small but very charming. The breakfast rooms are similar too in that they are in a renovated vaulted wine cellar. Very nice way to start the day. I wasn't traveling with a child so I can't comment especially since I don't know your child. I loved the view I had overlooking Le Pantheon and the square where every weekday morning I would watch the locals going to work and school. I walked everywhere from there and loved it. It's also a very short walk to Rue Mouffetard where there are cafes, patisseries and flower shops. The church around the corner from the hotels is named after St. Genevieve and it is magnificient.
