Reims train station - "Freah"??
Just tried to book tickets roundtrip between Paris and Reims. I was just about to purchase the tickets when I saw that my return station from Reims to Paris, instead said from "Freah" to Paris. Does anyone have any idea what this is? I can't find any information about it, and, of course, all the trains at times I did not want said returning "Reims to Paris." What the heck?!

Same problem -- any ideas??

What site did you use?
I tried now snfc.com, then select English, and no problem to order ticket from Paris to Reims Gare and retour. BTW, in May I bought tickets to Reims using this site and saved 10 Euro/ticket/one way. |
FREAH is a code for the high-speed Champagne-Ardennes train station in Reims.

It's like an airport code (ie, CDG) only for rail stations. It isn't the same station as regular Reims. I think some online agencies or booking software uses those codes. Are you doing this on the SNCF website? the regular Reims train station is FRRHE or RMS.

I'd like to know, indeed, where did you find this FREAH code ? It's not a SNCF internal code. In IATA lists, RMS stands for Ramstein air base in Germany.

Well, I ended up booking the trip thru www.voyages-sncf.com - I was following a recommendation from this site that saved me over 50 Euros by locking in on a PREM fare. Thank you to all - as always this site came to the rescue in my decision making!
