Regent Palace Hotel - Any Comments?

Would like any info on the Regent Palace. I can book rooms here for $100/night for a family of four including two children ages 11 and 13. Thanks in advance for your help!

I may be the only one who doesn't know but can you state in what city the Regent Palace Hotel is located?

It is very well located - Picadilly Circus - but if memory serves me right it was recently featured on a BBC programme about "Britain's Worse Hotels". I've never stayed there, but the reviews on www.tripadvisor.com, also seem to suggest it would be worth avoiding.

It is absolutely HUGE and barely half the rooms have private baths. It is at Picadilly Circus - right in the middle of things. (Too much in the middle for people who want some quiet, since it is on the edge of Soho.) it is a very busy hotel since it caters to large tour groups and those on tightish budgets.

You could do better for the price - but if you want to be where the action is go for it. I am not sure I'd stay there with kids . . . .

Thanks so much for the tips! I am checking with tripadvisor! Have a great day!

Do yourself and family a favor and try to find another hotel. Hotels.com, Expedia, Travelocity, Laterooms, etc. should have better hotels available at your price range. Avoid Regent Palace!

Friends of mine were booked there as part of a very cheap package. They found the hotel so bad, they went out and got another hotel at their cost. They felt it was worth it not to stay there.

A friend of mine recently returned from London, she stayed in this hotel for the first night, and said she would have left if it wasn't almost midnight when she arrived. She was particularly disgusted by the fleas in her bed.
