Refugees in Paris

Here's a post on The Lounge that is quite interesting.

I'm hoping that the Fodorites not in The Lounge will be able to read it in this form.
If not, I gave it a try.

pariswat Nov 19th, 2015 05:21 AM

No it is not available for me.

f1racegirl Nov 20th, 2015 04:33 AM

Interesting in what way?

You didn't miss anything pariswat.

Try this link:

Fodorites without Lounge access will not be able to read the thread, just the ABC article.

A lot of people never read or watch the news apparently, so depend on Fodors for people to tell them what's going on in the world.

nyse Nov 20th, 2015 09:27 AM

Christina, I think most posters turn to these threads for discussion and comments, not for news headlines.

"A lot of people never read or watch the news apparently, so depend on Fodors for people to tell them what's going on in the world."

Oh - you mean the extremely narrow political viewpoints of a handful of people pretending to be interested in giving travel advice?

This is possibly the most egotistical remark I've ever heard.
Not surprising, considering the source.

Good shot for a newcomer!

Christina's strange view of the world has been exposed again. But that is not a surprise for most of us.

pariswat Nov 20th, 2015 12:08 PM

I thought it was totally ironic.
I really must learn how some behave on these kinds of forums.

janisj Nov 20th, 2015 12:27 PM

TPAYT: of course the majority of fodorites cannot access your link, you must have known that???

Robert2533 Nov 20th, 2015 12:38 PM

pariswat, you may need to be vetted before being allow in.

pariswat Nov 20th, 2015 12:46 PM

I guess so. :-)

kerouac Nov 20th, 2015 01:17 PM

I can assure you that there is almost nothing of interest in the Lounge. I even forget to go there for months at a time.
