Recommendations on hotel by Florence airport?
 

On our last day in Italy we are planning on coming back from Volterra and dropping the car off at the Florence airport. Then instead of going back into Florence trying to stay around the airport because of an early flight, 7:20am. Any recommendations on a reasonable/accessable hotel once we drop the car.

I've stayed at the Villa Stanley in Sesto Fiorentino, short distance from the airport. It was really nice, restaurant was good and very convenient for the airport.

Why dont you just stay in the heart of Florence. It is so close to the airport it will not make much difference whether you stay closer to the airport or not. That way you can enjoy a nice dinner in the city

I've taken a few early flights such as yours out of Florence. A taxi ride from central Florence to the airport takes about 15 minutes at that hour.
