Try reposting your message with Italy in the title. You're more apt to get responses when people know what you're actually asking about.

Went with a tour company called GoAhead
tours to these three cities and had
excellent guides! There was also enough
free time to explore on our own.

We recently used Context Rome for a tour of the Vatican and Francesca Caruso for a private tour of Ancient Rome. The Context Rome tour was only OK as the docent was knew. Francesca, on the other hand, was fantastic.

We used Artiviva tours for two group tours in Florence. Our tour guides were informative, fun and witty. Even though it was a group tour, it was a small group and we enjoyed it very much! www.artviva.com
