Recommendations for night-Rome & Florence

Any restaurant recommendations for Rome and Florence??? Any evening activites for either city? I am in Florence for 4 nights with my husband and another couple; Rome 3 nights with my husband. Thanks!

Just stroll the streets and take in the sights - it seems like everyone in both towns take to the streets for sunset strolls every evening, and then after dinner many couples enjoy ice cream shops or little cafes. Have fun!

Hi W,

Take the #7 bus from the Florence SMN station up to Fiesole (0:20 hr 1E) to watch the sun set over the city from the terrace of the bar Bleu.

You can have dinner at one of the cafes on the square.

What sort of atmosphere are you looking for?

For Florence:
La Giostra is an amazing restaurant, with a great atmosphere and fabulous food, though it is expensive.

Il Latini is a popular tourist restaurant, think cured meat hanging from the ceiling, no menu, but very good food.

Aqua al due, my personal favorite, has delicious food, maybe not as authentic florence as other restaurants though. If you go, order the pasta sampler, where you get to try five different kinds of pasta, one more delicious than the next. Not a very expensive restaurant.
