recommendation for hostel for 3 girls in Rome

Can you recommend a clean non party hostel for 3 girls visiting Rome?
Does anyone have any specific names from a recent visit?

With 3 of you you could probably get a room to share at a pension. I can't help on it, but it might be something else to consider==and search for on the internet.

Most people here are not staying in hostels. Have a look at the Let's Go student guides or the thorn Tree section of the Lonely Planet web site - there will be a ton of information.

Sorry - if you don't mind a curfew you might consider staying in a convent - clean and budget friendly. And no partying.

How late do you plan to be out and how much do you want to spend? There is a convent (more like a budget hotel) within a block or two of the Forum/Colosseum and a few minutes walk from the subway (Cavour stop) that has a curfew of midnight. They have singles/doubles/triples/quads with private baths. Breakfast is minimal and not served. I can't get their website to work at the moment, but they have a Facebook page - Casa Santa Sofia.

There is also a hostel for women only at the edge of Trastevere (across the river from Campo area). They have quads with and without private bath. I don't know if they have a curfew.

>>>Breakfast is minimal and not served.<<<

This got cut off. Breakfast is not served on Sunday.

Santa Sofia has free wifi in the lobby.

There are a lot of convents in Rome, but curfews vary (some as early as 9 pm).

The Beehive Hotel is the best of the Rome's budget hotels and hostels - stylish, ecological, and comfortable accommodations - with a great reputation for our helpful ...

I haven't stayed there but I'll be going for their vegan dinner in a few weeks.

Thanks - the beehive looks great!

One my nieces and her little traveling group stayed at the Beehive a few years ago, and she said it worked out great.

However, there is no air conditioning if that's important to you (which in summer would be absolutely essential for me).

I rented a Rome apartment with a couple of girlfriends from cross-pollinate (connected to the beehive) about a dozen years ago. We had a great time. I've graduated from those types of accommodations but it was a nice experience, good value, etc. Yes, it was hot.
