Recommendation for guide - Rome

I'm looking for recommendations for a guide to just the Pinacoteca at the Vatican Museums. I did the After Hours Private Tour last year, so don't want to repeat the visit of the other parts of that tour with the masses, just want a great guide to the Pinacoteca, which was not covered on the After Hours tour.

Any ideas?

Amy,

I just booked a guide from Context Travel for exactly (basically) that for a Sept tour. They have been FANTASTIC to work with. The docent I have been assigned has amazing art credentials. They get rave reviews on this site. I cannot recommend them highly enough as far as professionalism, etc. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me directly:

Enjoy your trip, Susan

Thanks, Susan. I took a few Context tours last year and plan a couple more this time, but didn't realize I could hire a docent for just the Pinacoteca. I see two different Vatican Museum tours on the website, but they are more inclusive than just that. Thanks for the tip!

I can very highly recommend David Lown at http://www.roma-antica.co.uk/ . We used him twice in Rome, including in the Vatican and he was fantastic. Very personal and extremely informed.
