recommed a good website that has a map of rome
 
i need a metro map, attractions map.. where different areas of rome would be..

hotels? attractions? mainly buses/metro maps would greatly help!

also, if you own an Iphone or Ipod touch: The LP city guide for Rome is temporarily available for free on Itunes. It would have most of what you are looking for!

You should also buy a foldout detailed map. Rome has many tiny streets that aren't even on some of the less detailed maps. If you want to see the 'big' picture, this is probably the best way. For zooming into specific areas, these web options are probably good enough.

If you buy "City Secrets -- Rome" you get area maps that accompany descriptions of special things to see in those areas -- ideas from people who know Rome well, artists, archaeologists, historians, etc. It's a small book and the maps are easy to use.
