Recomendations on a triple in Florence.
 

Can anyone make a recomendation on a triple room in Florence? Not famialiar with the city, but would be fine with anything that's reasonable walking distance to the main sights (approx 15 min). Hoping to keep it under $200USD.

I recommend Hotel Europa situated along via cavour. They are well known for their lovely suites. We stayed there 7 nights in Oct and it was great. Clean and huge. Do a search on trip advisor. I posted my full review of the hotel there. The service is very good and the price affordable. Within your range.

We have reservations at the A Teatro B&B. We have never stayed there so it could be a suprise. They did respond promptly to email though.

Grand Hotel Cavour was also a great hotel. My mom and I stayed there last Jan and it was wonderful. They were a little pricey, but if you can get a deal through the hotel, i would recommend it. Most 3 or 4-star hotels in central Florence are OK or good, depending on your tastes. I would be fine in an Italian 3 star, but my mom insisted on 4 star. I would suggest finding what range you are looking for in terms of service, cleanliness, etc and then maybe people would have a better idea of how to answer you. Just a thought. :)

I can recommend the Hotel Silla in florence, should be within your price range. It is on the south side of the Arno but just across the ponte alle grazie bridge and then a short walk, which means it is walking distance to Santa Croce area, Uffizzi gallery, and Boboli gardens, and also the Ponte Vecchio. We also walked to the Duomo area. Don't actually recall if we took a bus or walked to the Accademia museum to see Michelangelo's David, that's a bit further north.

Hotel Silla includes a nice breafast, and was quiet at night. Excellent staff and they even offered to make our advance museum reservations, and e-mailed us our reservation numbers, such a wonderful convenience!

If you're not too fussy about sharing a bathroom, Casa Rabatti has a room with 5 beds. It's like staying at your old Italian aunt's house, and that 5 bed room is literally the old dining and living rooms. But it the best bargain in Florence (other than paying a few euros more for reservations and skipping the line at the Uffizi) at 60 euros. It is a 5 minute walk to the Accademia, and 5 minutes to the Duomo. It's a Rick Steves place, so you can find the number in his books.
