Reasonably Priced shopping in the 7th

I will be staying in the 7th on Rue du Champs de Mars. I have been told there is a general merchandise store in the area but the person could not remember its name and precise location. She said it is ideal for foodstuffs, sundries and the like. Is anyone familiar with it?

Thanks for the help.

Rue du Champs de Mars isn't very long, so why don't you just see what there is when you are there. That's right near rue Cler, which has lots of food shops (and other types, also, a few), so why would you want to go to a store that sold sundries for food? I'm not sure what you are looking for, but it sounds like a regular supermarket or a Monoprix (which isn't near there, so it can't be that).

They may mean the Franprix supermarket at 11 rue du Champ de Mars. It's just past rue Cler going east, I guess.

Yes, there's a Fran Prix Supermarche at 11 rue de Champs de Mars. What exactly are you looking for? The neighborhood is chock full of shops for anything you might need.

If you're staying at Hotel du Champs de Mars, note that many hotels do not allow you to bring food into your room.

There's a Leader Price or Franprix - can't remember which - right on rue Cler, a stone's throw from your hotel. Just walk to rue Cler and you'll find it.

Ah yes, the rue Cler, nexus of Paris. There are many streets in the 7th besides the rue Cler, even if Rick Steves hasn't visited them.
