? RE: Heathrow left luggage area
 

Hi - I have a long layover in London en route to Africa. I'd like to leave a heavy bag in left luggage but it will contain a lot of expensive camera equipment. Is it safe to do this? Do you get a locker to lock it up or how does this work? Thanks (I leave Thursday.)

check www.londonbaggagecompany.com - at least they used to run the airport left-luggage - it seems there are no lockers but a manual service at a very steep price. With such expensive equipment you should look into travel baggage insurance - or maybe your home/apartment owners insurance possibly covers it even abroad.
