RATP quantity discounts - minimizing CDG-Paris fare

As most visitors to Paris are aware, the transport company sells Métro/bus tickets either singly for 1,60€, or in a carnet of ten for 11,40 (almost 30% off).

What many don't realize is that any point-to-point ticket can be bought by the carnet as well. Since tickets don't carry an expiration date, a group of five travelers coming in and leaving from CDG could buy ten tickets at a discount, using five of them coming and five going.

I can't quote the discount precisely, as I've never done this on the airport route, but my experience is that you can get five for about the price of four everywhere, as my boys and I did from Antony in 2007.

According to the RATP website, a carnet of tickets for Zones 1-5 is €67.20.

Can you give a link to that? I've looked at Tarifs billet IdF, but didn't see it.

20% - not bad.

Robespierre, for some reason, the carnet price only comes up if you search using "Aeroport Charle de Gualle" but not with "Roissy Charles de Gaulle".

Ah. Thank you.
