RatesToGo Bookings -- Local Taxes?

I was set to book a room on RatesToGo, but I took a look at the fine print and it says local taxes are not included. This is for a hotel in Paris. I used the booking service last year and I don't recall any exorbitant extra charges, but I wonder if this has changed.

Does anyone know?

The US office isn't open until 9 am local time.

Thanks!

Actually, put another way, how much would these local taxes be in Paris?

For those interested, I called their office in the UK. The local taxes won't exceed 7% of the rate, but they said they could call the hotel for me. Supposedly it's 1 euro per person.

Thanks.

Paris city tax is only about a euro per day per person. I think it can vary in some other French regions, and may vary slightly by class of hotel, but it's not a worry. I think it is only .20 euro on a 1* hotel and maybe 1.5 euro on the 4-5* hotels.

I found a detailed official listing, here it is

It's one euro on a 3*

Thanks. I booked Hotel Cyrnos and it is indeed 3*.

Oh, by the way, I've not deserted Hotel Tiquetonne (in case people are wondering -- or care). But when I called this morning for Saturday, they were booked. I stayed at Hotel Cyrnos once last year thanks to a tip provided by someone on Fodor's. So I figured I could give this one a try again. It was fine last year, so I don't see why I shouldn't stay there at a rate of 60 euros or so (+ fees).
