Rapallo to Cinque Terre?
 

We will be staying in Rapallo and will visit the Cinque Terre. I've read that the boat is the best way to get around the CT(fewer stairs than the train, and pretty too)

I've got this web site which is apparently the boat to take to see Cinque Terre. (are there others?)

My question is how do I get from Rapallo to where the boat picks you up? Boat or train? It looks like the boat will pick you up in Portovenere, Levanto, La Spezia, or Riomaggiore. Any suggestions on which of these towns I should go to, to pick up the boat? Or any other suggestions??? Thanks, annieladd

I can not answer your question but I just wanted to say "Lucky You" to be in Rapallo!! We were just there in May and loved it so very much that we intend to go back there next year for a longer time! It is a beautiful, friendly little town with the best GELATO!!!

We always take the train from Santa Margherita to Monterosso, then walk down to the left to the ferry dock. It is a beautiful way to see the villages on the side of a cliff.
