Rain Rain Rain
 

So any good suggestions to not being affected too much by the rain in the forecast for Paris over the next few days?? We have the umbrellas, and are hoping that the meterologists can be off just like the US. only there for 3 full days so obviously not time to just "hang out"<BR>

Bring an umbrella, a raincoat, and a good attitude and do what you originally planned! Its a great excuse for stopping often in cafes at any rate! Or try to get in your museum/shopping plans during the rainiest days. The catacombs and sewers are protected from the elements!

mary<BR>bring a sweater or two to layer under your raincoat in case the temp get low.<BR>Bring some waterproof rainboots or duck shoes, or at least a second pair of walking shoes so the pair you just wore can dry out. Bring gloves, they can make a big difference. Bring extra dry socks.<BR>It may not be leisurely strolling weather,but the metro or buses can get you pretty close to all major sites, and there's always a good excuse to stop somewhere, again, for hot coffee and another pastry. Paris is pretty grey, meteorologically speaking, most of the time, no one goes there because of the weather. Have a great trip.

Buy a Carte Musee so you don't have to wait in the rainy lines

Hi Mary, I've been watching the Paris weather too (we leave on Thursday) the forecast seems to change each time I look at it! Last time we were there we spent a rainy morning at the Rodin museum, had lunch at the cafe in the garden and saw the outdoor sculpture when the rain stopped after lunch. Museums, the large department stores and the Passages are good bets for rain days. You could also go someplace special for Tea in the afternoon.

It was rain, rain, rain when I was in Paris last weekend and it didn't stop me one bit! Just have an umbrella or a hooded raincoat and go and do what you want to do. That's what the Parisians do. It's only weather. You're going to be in one of the world's most beautiful cities. Don't let some moisture ruin it for you.

We were in Paris a couple of years ago in October in the rain.
Besides umbrellas and raincoats, we each wore plastic rainshoes over our shoes - and that made all the difference. (Mine were a clear plastic - rather difficult to get on over my regular shoes but worth it.) There were lots of puddles around &amp; I saw people getting their feet really wet.
Our feet were dry &amp; warm (on some very cold days).
