Rain in Barcelona in October

How rainy is Barcelona in October? We may be able to (finally) get decent flight prices spanning the second and third week of the month but I'd rather not face a Seattle winter. The various weather websites I've seen basically say about 3+ inches (75mm-90mm) for the month, but fewer than 10 days of rain -- which indicates it rains hard, or it doesn't rain.

Experience with this? We can travel in any type of temperature warmer than a Russian winter, but I'd rather not be rained out from sightseeing.

Thanks in advance.

as usual, the weather is a big ??????
We were in Barcelona around second week of Oct.(twice) and it rained one time in 5 days.
This May, I thought the weather would be too hot - it was o.k. until it started to rain our last day ( May 4th, the temp. dropped below 60F) . Apparently it rained for several days non-stop afterward.

You are really asking for a long range forecast.

The weathermen don't even get it all right with the data several days in advance.

I bet someone will post a weather history site, with a whole rake of statistics...but statistics will not give you a weather forecast.
Why would rain spoil a vacation?

Go. Enjoy. The weather is only the weather. There are tons of restaurants, museums, spas.

I have been in Barcelona twice in October - three days in October 2004 and three days in October 2006. I got no rain but the humidity is epic.
