As mentioned in other threads, for travelling from Paris to London it might pay you to use www.eurostar.fr (but delete any cookies for other eurostar sites first).
If you book that way, you'll either need an address in France for the tickets, or to pick them up at a station in France (using the same credit card as you bought them with).
And if you're travelling one way, it's far cheaper to book the cheapest possible return and not use the leg you don't want. Single (one-way) fares are far more expensive.

Seniors thru RailEurope can get fares as low as $94 or so one way and these fares are changeable once in Europe without penalty - youths can get fares as low as $52 with same conditions.
compare these with www.eurostar.com in euros.
In US RailEurope will charge a $15 booking fee and $18 mailing fee - in any case i always advise calling BETS (800-441-2387) for any Eurostar ticket for their great personal service and expertise and have them do a manual search as the www.raileurope.com site often IME does not show the cheapest fares that actually can be booked or, FodorFriends have complained they may e-mail back a higher price. BETS also won't charge the $18 RE mailing fee. Always check www.eurostar.com for fares in euros and RailEurope fares IMO

Saturdays are one of the hardest days to get cheaper fares, along with Fri and Sun - see what's available and then if you can save money by changing days.
however if you want to leave around 6am you'll find cheaper fares more available even on weekends.
