rail tickets cheaper online?
Hi there. I'm interested in knowing whether point to point tickets are cheaper to buy online while in the States or at the train station while in Italy. Thanks!

Promotional fares (severak iof the good ones are being phased out this fall) are cheapest, purchased online directly from trenitalia.com - - but otherwise, fares are the same from trenitalia or directly from the station.
That aside, fares are going to be cheaper at the train station than from sources available outside Italy (RailEurope, Euraide, BETS, etc).
Best wishes,
Rex

Hi K,
The prices listed at www.trenitalia.com is what you pay, whether online or in Italy.
Buying online does give you access to discount fares, however.
