I've done it before, many times. With your itinerary a pass would probably be a good investment, and free you from ticket lines. The flex passes give you a fixed number of days of travel within a month. Go to and/or call 800-441-9413 for specifics. Byron or Linda can help you. I've bought two passes from them in the past year. Also, see for an introduction to train travel in Europe. Looks like you are going to have an adventure. When are you going?

Call Byron DIRECTLY at 800-441-2387..he's the best

thanks so much. i leave on august 24th, arrive in london on the 25th. yes, it will be alot but this is my second trip to europe.the only thing when i look at some of the time involved traveling i regret maybe doing so much at once. however i got such a good deal on my flight that it's less expensive doing as much as i can while i am already there. last year i went to rome for 3 days, florence just for part of a day on the way to venice for 3 days, then munich , nuremberg, berlin, and last but not least paris. it was a fantastic trip. i am so excited to go back. i will look in to the info. you gave me...

Hi nycg
Enter your itinerary at and click "only if it saves money".

If they say "No", you can believe them.

The national rail lines do offer discount tickets. You might want to check the prices.
