Rail Europe European East Pass
 

Has anyone recently used this rail pass issued by rail europe which covers Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria(countries I will visit)

I have never bought it, but whenever I have considered it I came to the conclusion that unless you intend to use it a great deal in Austria, it would not be a savings. Trains in the CR and Hungary are very inexpensive. The same cannot be said for Austria.

the pass is a much better deal in first class than in second class, so if cheap is your goal hard to beat point-points except if traveling a lot in Austria.
