Hello, noticed on another post that you spent some time in Toulon. I have already posted here for help on Toulon and nobody wants to know!!
Can you offer any help re accommodation suggestions - do you know the Hotel Bonaparte at all?
Any other comments welcome, thank you!

sorry ozgirl, just saw your post this am - I'm not familiar with that hotel, but when I lived in Toulon, my parents stayed at an AMAZING hotel - I'll find out the name for you. It might take a day or so, but I promise I will let you know!

Thank you radiofanatic. We will be attending a conference at the Neptune Congress centre and the Best Western La Corniche also looks very nice (facing the sea), but looking at the map I think it would be a little difficult to get to without a car? Hotel Bonaparte is only 2 star but photos look nice on website??? There's not a lot to choose from! Anything we must do whilst there?
(We will have spent three weeks previously in Provence.)

Hey radiofanatic, you still out there?

Here are some suggestions from the Michelin Guide:

the Mercure (see on accorhotels.com)

the Grand Hôtel de la Gare (near the train station, obviously)

the Dauphine

the Nouvel Hôtel

Good luck!

One of our friends in Provence comes from Toulon, but she stays with her family and has no hotel suggestions--sorry.
