Which river cruise line in Europe gives the best discount for solo travelers?
If you have done lots of European river cruises, which is your favorite and why?
Where do I find the best price?
I know returning customers get great discounts, but this will be my first river cruise.
If you have traveled on different river cruises please comment on your experience.
We were thinking of doing Paris to Normandy...but are open to other suggestions...
We will each get our own room, so need the best price on solo travel...and we are active seniors...

I don't think <i>any</i> give a discount for singles. Maybe you are asking which have the lowest single supplements???

Loved the Rhine

My mom has done quite a few of them. She almost always goes with Grand Circle, sad they have no single supplement. She's done a couple on Viking, and maybe one other line. She says the viking ships are a bit nicer, but the GC ones are fine, and less expensive.

If you take a look at vacationstogo.com they often have specials on cruises with lower singles supplements (river and ocean cruises).

You can also call them for the rate of a local call from a number of different countries; I've found them to be most helpful and courteous with my questions. Di
