quiet hotel in paris?

Has anyone stayed at a hotel in Paris that
was actually quiet? Is there one for which you can request, for example, a room facing a back courtyard?

Yes, there are quiet hotels. Double pane windows help. Yes, room in back, or on courtyard, or up high above ground can help. Air conditioning so you can keep windows shut. Residential areas over business districts are quieter.

we stayed at grand hotel st. michel, 3* in Latin Qtr. Our room faced in and was quiet, but no view and ugly courtyard.

Hotel des Jardins du Luxembourg is located near the end of a deadend street (Impasse Royer Collard). Residential street, near Jardins. Very quiet. They also have A/C, which helps a lot if you want close the windows.
Would return there anytime.

Yes. I stayed at the Hotel Clos de Medicis on Rue Le Monsieur. Very nice, 3* hotel. I had a room in the back of the hotel that directly opened out into the courtyard.

Hotel De L'Abbaye in St. Germain. 2 blocks from the Metro, down a little side street with a wonderful courtyard and fantastic staff. Walking distance to Luxembourg Gardens and St. Sulpice. LOVED IT!!!

We stayed at the Relais Bosquet in the 7th and it was very quiet, and we faced the street too. Another good thing was electric blinds that you brought down over the windows at night to block out all the light - excellent feature!! We really enjoyed this small hotel. We had a "superior room" which, altho not huge, was a bit larger then standard.
