Quiet Hotel in Paris

We will be visiting Paris in November and are looking for recommendations on a hotel in Paris that is in the 5th, 6th or 7th arr, very quiet and price range of $100-$150 US.

Thank you.

Check out the Relais Bosquet Hotel. They have a web site and I've done a review of them on this forum as well, if you do a search you should find it. We stayed there in April and of all the places we have stayed in Paris this was one of the quietest. They also have electric blinds that you can close at night over the windows (just press a button) and it keeps out the light. The hotel is on a small street between Rue Cler and Ave. Bosquet so you are close enough to things as well (1.5 blocks from Metro). We had a "superior room" facing the street and heard no noises at night. Rooms vary in size (ours was a large one - by Paris standards that is!) and some face an inner courtyard too. Our room gave us a view of about 3/4 of the Eiffel Tower! We paid about $120. Incidentally the room was nicely decorated, had a modern bath room, decent sized closet and iron & ironing board as well. Breakfast is not included but they have a breakfast room, we ate there every morning. The staff are wonderful and all speak English if that is a concern.

Hotel Muguet in the 7th--about $80/night. They have a breakfast for 49FF. 2 blocks from 2 metros and Invalides. It has just been renovated--we were there in March and will be back in October.

I stayed at the Hotel Jardin des Plantes, in the 5th, right across from the Botanical Gardens (or a botanical garden, don't know if only one). It was under $100 a couple of years ago.

My room was small and sweet, and there was anice little breakfast room. It was very quiet, clean, friendly, with English-speaking people there. I found it in a Fodor's book at the time.

We love the Hotel du Champ de Mars in the 7th. It just off the Rue Cler, so you don't get the noise of the market. The owners are fantastic and very welcoming to "their home." It's aggresively clean, close to the Metro, and close to wonderful restaurants. Walking the Rue Cler market in the morning will make every day you stay in Paris special.
Check them out:
www.hotel-du-champ-de-mars.com

Larry
