Quick Question -> Equivalent of Marais in Barcelona

Hi,

Would you say that La Rambla is the equivalent of the Marais area in Paris?

Thx,
Daniel.

They absolutely not they have nothing in common.

The Jews were thrown out of Spain in 1492 and now there are some 12,000 in the entire coutnry although I have not seen anything that constitutes a thriving Jewish neighborhood or area anyhwere in Spain. There are great remnants of past Jewish life throughout Spain.

Las Ramblas in broad street with buskers and canary and flower vendors with various stores on both sides. It is an out and out tourist attraction with some interesting things off the Las Ramblas.

Las Ramblas is sort of like Broadway on the Upper West Side.

In which respect? Trendy or gay? See El Born and some parts of Raval.
