Quick - let's arrest Eva Langoria

Just saw a picture of Eva Langoria and Tony Parker at Disney Euro -- she's wearing white tennis shoes!!! Didn't anyone tell her that was illegal in Paris, that everyone will point and laugh at her! :) :)

She really should have come to Fodor's and asked if those were okay to wear. :) :)

scatcat Jul 5th, 2007 03:40 PM

The women may look at her feet, but the men's eyes will never get that far down.

lyb Jul 5th, 2007 04:01 PM

Oh, and she's also wearing a disney baseball cap! Shame, shame, shame!!! :)

suze Jul 5th, 2007 04:03 PM

that woman really bugs me. figures she's over there embarassing all of America wearin' those white sneakers around
:-(

I volunteer for the full body search after she's arrested. For security purposes only, of course.

nbujic Jul 5th, 2007 04:10 PM

It is DISNEY not Paris, she gets off!

nytraveler Jul 5th, 2007 05:07 PM

Agree- all rules are off in Disney - since it's not actually part of europe.

lyb Jul 5th, 2007 10:50 PM

good point...Disney Euro, like all other Disney Parks are in their own land...and I say that in a good way -- I love Disneyland!

kerouac Jul 5th, 2007 11:13 PM

Well, she's getting married to Tony Parker in Paris this morning. I suppose there will be a photograph to show what she's wearing at city hall.

kleeblatt Jul 5th, 2007 11:35 PM

Sorry guys. She's still a relative unknown in Europe. And as long as she hasn't been invited to George Clooney's Lake Como home, she still hasn't made the A list.

Now if it had been Angelina Jolie, that might have made headlines.

BTilke Jul 6th, 2007 12:09 AM

They're pretty well known in Italy. All my female Italian colleagues were huge fans of the show--although they didn't care about the characters or plot lines, they just wanted the houses!
There was a huge, two page spread about the nuptials in a French Belgian paper...I didn't read the story but I think they're holding (or held) their reception at Vaux le Vicomte.

> She's still a relative unknown in Europe.

Europe ? You mean in Lucerne area? Not in Geneva, Suisse Romande. See her all the time on magazine covers since some time.

quokka Jul 6th, 2007 12:33 AM

Who is Eva Langoria?

jody Jul 6th, 2007 01:20 AM

quokka, glad you asked so I didn't have to!

kerouac Jul 6th, 2007 01:21 AM

She is a Desperate Housewife.

Angela Jul 6th, 2007 02:09 AM

She's also very well known in N Ireland.

Housewives was extremely popular over here.

"The women may look at her feet, but the men's eyes will never get that far down."
she got voted "best legs in hollywood". yes, i am embarrassed to know that.

beaupeep Jul 6th, 2007 03:16 AM

Eva Long-Boria. Need I say more? And yes, she's well known in Lausanne and also in Paris where I was last month.

Angela_m Jul 6th, 2007 05:44 AM

In case anyone's really interested--she's getting married tomorrow - 7/7/07.

Michel_Paris Jul 6th, 2007 06:00 AM

She is on in French in Canada...show is called 'Desperate Beauties'

On a travel note...anyone know which chateau in Loire is she celebrating post-nup ? Also heard she was doing the religious wedding at church across from Louvre..St Germain Auxerrois?

PalenQ Jul 6th, 2007 07:18 AM

People audacious or clueless enough to wear white tennies in Paris should bring a black felt pen with them in order to be able to change when they see their embarrasing mistake.

Indeed Tony Parr-care is French - he should have known better though like most men he probably didn't even notice what shoes she was shod in.

BTilke Jul 6th, 2007 08:11 AM

There was an article in today's paper about how many people in European and NA are rushing to get married tomorrow because it's supposed to be a particularly auspicious date. I wonder if Chinese couples will do a similar rush to tie the knot next year on August 8, as 8 is such a lucky number to them.

kerouac Jul 6th, 2007 09:45 AM

TP has rented Vaux-le-Vicomte for the festivities. The legal marriage has already taken place, and the make believe church ceremony will be held tomorrow. TP also got 100 rooms at the Park Hyatt Vendôme for his guests (including the entire San Antonio Spurs basketball team).

Told my 23 yo DD about this post. She is currently living in London and is very fashion savy. She says white athletic shoes are in - all over Europe, at least for the young and trendy set. She says in London, even the guys wear white sneakers and keep them polished!
I visited her this past spring and during a short trip to Paris, I learned this the hard way. She fit right in with her comfy white shoes and I had sore feet dressed in black flats.

hetismij Jul 6th, 2007 10:32 AM

Well she wore a bright pink minidress for the civil ceremony. She must have been freezing.
No doubt it will be something expenisive and white tomorrow, but no tennis shoes!
