Questions on Versailles
We're going to Versailles in early May on a Thurs and have some questions. Would much appreciate input please.
1. Does the Paris Musuem Pass include Queen's Hamlet? I know it does include Trianons but not sure if that is considered part of that? Also, it was noted that a "Guided tour" is required to view inside Queen’s House. Are they referring to Queen’s Hamlet or Petit Trianon? I'm thinking the later. 2. Do I need to buy the musical and fountain garden tickets since that is not included? Given we will be there on a Thurs and in early May, it appears this only runs on weekends and not open til later May? Their site has conflicting info on this and is confusing. Thanks. |
Update: I confirmed Musical Gardens and Musical Fountains Garden shows are weekends only. Can I still access the gardens to walk around in (without these shows) as part of my Paris Museum Pass or do I still need an extra "garden" ticket? I was thinking the extra garden tickets were just for those shows. Is that correct?
Thanks! |
Your Paris Museum Pass will get you entry to the chateau and the grounds. The Queen's Hamlet does not require a separate ticket, but it does require some trudging to reach..

Each time I have seen le Hameau it was without restriction once I had paid the generally entry fee for the Chateau and its grounds. I am not aware that it is anything but outdoor viewing.

Thank you for confirming this info for me. I had read that it's quite the walk from main palace to Trianons so we may plan to rent a golf cart or pay to use the tram. Can't wait to see it all! Have a nice day everyone!
