Questions about Deruta and Faenza

I'm traveling to Italy in June and would like to visit one of the ceramics-producing towns. Have read the most about Deruta, including the thread on this forum, but will be flying into Bologna (I think Faenza's on the same train line and probably the more accessible). Can anyone describe/compare and contrast the styles/selection of the ceramics in the two towns, especially Faenza? Or offer recommendations re travel via public transit from Bologna or Florence to Deruta? Thanks much.

I've been to Deruta, and I think its off the beaten path. But, there may be buses going there. We had a car. I would love some information about Faenza also.

Still trawling for info (if you guys can't help, who can?).... Ofelia, thanks, I've looked at the previous Deruta posting.
