I prefer Positano. Since I have been in the area several times now, I would like to go stay in Ravello and just relax. If you want to do day trips, Positano is the most beautiful IMO, and Sorrento the most convenient.

I will weigh in with another vote for Spello rather than Spoleto. Spello is built of the same rosy stone as Assisi; the stone used in Spoleto is grey and everything seems immensely heavy.
Although Spoleto is larger, it does not offer much more to see than Spello, which looks as if it were unchanged over centuries.
In Spello, you can stay at the Palazzo Bocci, a wonderful 4-star hotel (beautifully appointed rooms, glorious views over the green Umbrian landscape) at 3-star prices because it is such a tiny town. There are two restaurants more or less across the street from Palazzo Bocci: Il Molino (which belongs to Palazzo Bocci and is a tiny bit more creative and a little bit more expensive) and La Cantina (which is traditional Umbrian and less expensive).
If you're a foodie who likes "creative" cuisine, consider La Bastiglia at the very top of Spello, which has a restaurant that foodies seem to love. If the search function on this board worked, you could find a number of reviews of La Bastiglia and of Palazzo Bocci.
