Question: (stupid?) How To Send A Topic on Here by E-mail?

I'm not great with this sort of thing (needless to say, I'm pretty OLD and inexperienced!). Anyway, I'd like to forward a topic to someone and can't figure out how. Help, please!

Above, to right of the topic thread, in yellow, you'll find "Share with a friend." Click on it and follow the directions.

I re-read and I may have misunderstood your question. Do you want to send a thread to a friend? If that's it. I see a button right under the topic title, "share with a friend" click that button and fill in the email addresses.

Sue,
Good for you for you for asking! I have asked many "silly" questions and have had only positive helpful responses! I just figured out your question about a month ago!:)

Thanks so much, everybody! You really helped - so glad I asked.

I never noticed the "Share with a friend" balloon before, thank you for asking the question so now I can use this myself!

How do I post a photo?

IMHO the "Share with a friend" option is way too clunky and cumbersome and has too many steps. Here's a much simpler way: There's a dropdown menu marked "File" at the very top of the screen on my Mac, on the left-hand side next to "Firefox." If you happen to be on a Mac, click on "File," then click on "Send link and voila! an email page appears with the title and link already filled in. It will autofill the address of the sendee from your address book, which the "Share with a friend" will not do. I'm sure there's something similar on a PC.

Mimi, I do think it's more cumbersome than doing it through your browser. "Share with a friend" requires you to type in the email address, while the dropdown autofills from your address book with one keystroke. The Share with a friend has that pesky little spam filter step, while your computer dropdown does not.

I save a lot of threads by sending them to myself, then sorting them into mailbox folders. I find doing it directly takes half the time as going through the Share with a friend option, as I don't have to type in my email address twice (to/from) every single time because "Share with a friend" doesn't remember it. When I do it directly, I type in the first letter of my (or my friend's) email address and hit send. That's it.

I don't use either of those options. I just highlight the title of the thread in the browser search window (place your cursor inside the search and it will turn blue) , select ctrl c (cut/copy while it's highlighted blue)and and in the e-mail I'm writing place my cursor and select ctrl v (paste). I was sending multiple thread links to a friend in one e-mail last night. The "share with a friend" would have meant sending multiple e-mails instead of one.

Mimi - Do you have the photo on a website such as flickr that you want to share?
