Question re: renting car in Florence, Dropping off in Chiusi

Hi All,

We're now considering renting a car at the end of our stay in Florence, and then dropping it off in Chiusi (which is where we'll board the train for Naples). On Autoeurope.com, I noticed that there's quite a few places where we can pick the car up in Florence, and a few where we can drop it off in Chiusi. Of the Florence locations (see below), which one is the easiest in terms of getting out of Florence and heading to San G. (we want to avoid city driving as much as possible!) Also, of the Chiusi drop off locations (see below), is one of these locations near the train station? Finally, can we still drop off our car at Chiusu in the morning (like at 8am) if the office is closed and doesnt open til 9am? Thanks for your input!

Pick-Up Locations in Florence:

Florence Downtown Office
128r Via Borgo Ognissanti

Florence Downtown Office
Via Pratese 64 A B C

Florence Downtown Office
53 / 55r Via Borgo Ognissanti

Florence City Office Gelsomino

Florence City Office
Via Forlanini, 2
Hours:

Drop-Off Locations in Chiusi.

Chiusi Scalo / Po Bandino Ofc
Via Molise Loc Po Bandino

Chiusi Downtown Office
Via Cassia Aurelia I, 82

I would call Autoeurope....they've always been very helpful with this type of question, especially regarding drop-off after hours.

You want the Borgo Ognassanti locations---the difference is which vendor they use. Your model and drop point will determine that.
Call at 800-223-5555
You will need 2 train changes to Sorrento--just drive.

Hi GJ,

It is much more efficient if you keep all of your questions on one thread.

Bobthenavigator has suggested, and I agree, that you keep the car until you get to Sorrento.

The drive is not difficult and it might be cheaper than taking the train.

I agree with Bob's suggestion. I've picked up twice at Borgo Ognissanti and it was very easy to get out of town.
