Question on far northern Portugal

Am planning 3 week trip to Portugal this May. The question is how is the area up on the Minho River around Seixas/Caminha? I am perhaps tooo enamored with a potential rental house up there on the river, with fantastic views to Spain. It looks awesome and very pretty. This would be a chill spot for about 5 - 6 days, following Lisbon, Algarve, Evora, possibly Coimbra or Nazare; and then leaving out of Porto.

GFI. It is not really on the tourist radar. SO IMHO it makes a great palace to chill.
You can also add a trip to Valença a walled city with a bridge designed by Eiffel of the tower fame.
Caminha is another wall city. Try Restaurante Muralha de Caminha cheap and excellent food.

Valenca is definitely worth a visit, I've been twice and it's nice to wander around. Arrive early if you can, it can get crowded in the tight streets where the shops are.
