Help! We want to go to Russia. Have sent an e-mail without response. Help!!!!

Well, Intrepid, what makes you think you can post a tantalizing SOS like this and not tell the rest of us the details? Tabloid headlines aren't more coy than yours! Tell us about your proposed trip to Russia...and why you can't you go without Mr. Miller's help...

Mr Miller is someone who has not posted for a while but has travelled extensively in Russia. He has provided answers to many peoples questions, a good source of information.

Sorry..did not mean to tantalize...were originally thinking about doing the Russian river cruise thing next Summer (2004) and then I read a lot of stuff about the food and cabin quality on some of the river boats and decided perhaps doing the St. Petersburg and Moscow itinerary (mainly those two cities and not the river cruise in between) might be better.
MD Miller evidently owns the company "Discovering Russia" which has a nice website...looked like a reputable company...but the contact number on the webiste is actually that of the website designer and not the company itself.
We like to travel indpendently and I can even speak a few Russian phrases and also understand the Cyrillic alphabet..but am a bit wary of doing it totally on our own. Wanted to know from Mr. Miller about arranging private guidses, etc., but as of today no luck.

Found Marc David Miller's name on Amazon.com, believe it or not. He has reviewed several books relating to Russia. His contact info was on Amazon.com......perhaps it might help?

Thanks very much for that additional info...and I hadn't considered that he might be traveling. I'll give it a while longer but in the meanwhile am already considering hotels, etc., on my own and will probably be asking specific questions shortly. Again, many thanks to you.
