Question about replying to a message

Can anyone explain why the reply option is not available on certain posts? The replies were going until this morning and now there is notwhere to click. Specifically, it is the post about the hats at the wedding. Did Fodors decide there were enough opinions on it?

oops, I obviously meant "nowhere"

Your guess is undoubtedly right. Sometimes Fodors lets the "non travel" related or political threads go for a while, and then will sometimes remove them if they are too controversial, or just kill the reply mode so they will gradually die away. I picture a big roulette wheel in their office that they spin to decide what to do with which thread.

Yes--this happened on Muffin's pink sneakers in DC thread--on the US board--and I cannot figure out why...I still have the original replies and they were not nearly as "objectionable" as many other replies that are allowed to go on and on...JMO....

thanks and one wonders why hats are not in style, we can't discuss them.

but usually it seems they are closed for "bad behaviour" not simply for being non-travel related.
