Question about Priceline

We have a trip to London planned for early October. I have read the posts about the hotels at great rates in London and would like to get a room through Priceline. Is there any way you can have your choice of bed size? This is always an issue for us and a double size bed is not acceptable--DH is 6'2" and would sleep miserably. Can I assume that we would have at the least twins pushed together if we bid for a four star hotel? Obviously this would be my first experience using Priceline. Thanks for any comments!

When you want something specific like this, then looking to Priceline is playing with potential disappointment.

Priceline is all about _not_ having terribly specific requirements.

Best wishes,

Rex

It's possible you might be able to upgrade your bid to a king-size bed, but not guaranteed. Every time I've traveled to London with one of my kids, we have managed to get twin rooms, with the beds widely separated. I'm sure they exist, but I haven't seen the twins pushed together to form a double in London. I wouldn't expect a king or queen-sized bed in any event.

i would think that by bidding only a 5 star you should be getting some pretty comfortable beds.

I agree with lin that if you're bidding on 4-5*, you'll be getting at least a queen. I think I had a king at the Riverbank Plaza.
