Question about Lander Rail Tickets

I'm a bit confused about the weekend Lander pass. If I buy it on Saturday, is it good until 3am MONDAY morning...or just until 3am Sunday? I'll be buying the single version, for travel in Baden-Wirtenburg.

It's only good for one day. The ticket you buy on Sat will be valid all day Sat until 3am Sunday morning.

You might be eligible for free rail (and bus) travel on a "Konus-Karte" in the Black Forest region if that's where you're going to be; follow the links to see a list of participating host towns:

Does anyone know if the Lander Ticket for Bavaria covers Bamberg, Nurnburg, and Wurzburg? Is Franconia part of
Bavaria for Lander ticket purposes?

Bamberg, Nurnberg and Wurzburg are all in Bavaria, so are covered by the Bayern Ticket.
Most if not all of Franconia is in Bavaria, so is also covered.
However, if you are travelling on Saturday or Sunday, you can buy a Schoenes Wochenende Ticket which is valid for EITHER Saturday OR Sunday throughout ALL OF GERMANY.
Individual Lander tickets are available for weekday travel.

>Lander Ticket for Bavaria covers Bamberg, Nurnburg, and Wurzburg?
Yes
Länder Ticket, Nürnberg, Würzburg or
Laender Ticket, Nuernberg, Wuerzburg

>Is Franconia part of Bavaria
As much as Boston is part of the USA.

Since all your travel will be in Bavaria, save a few euros and buy a Bayern-Ticket rather than a Schoenes-Wochenende-Ticket. Laender tickets are good on Saturdays and Sundays as well as weekdays.

Remember that Das Schönes-Wochenende-Ticket is valid from midnight rather than 9AM, and it's often desirable to head out early in the morning.

Actually, on the weekends and holidays, the Laender Tickets are also good from midnight. From www.bahn.de:

This [Bavaria Laender] ticket is valid from Monday to Sunday for one day of your choice from 9 a.m. until 3 a.m. of the following day (on bank holidays for the whole day)on Saturday and Sunday and bank holidays from from 0 a.m. until 3 a.m. of the following day.

While here it's not quite clear as it states both 9 and midnight, the German page clearly states it it good from midnight:

Wann?
Länder-Tickets gelten von montags bis freitags von 9.00 Uhr bis 3.00 Uhr des Folgetages (an Feiertagen ganztägig), sowie samstags oder sonntags von 0.00 Uhr bis 3.00 des Folgetags.
