Queen's Gallery ?

Am I correct that there is no permanent collection for the Queen's Gallery? That it is whatever is on at the moment (in this case Italian art)?

I think there're a few rooms w/permanent collection, then in addition, a few revolving exhibition. The permanent stuff is also rotating I believe, as the Queen owns so much paintings. Go check out the Caravaggio!

BTW, at least that was the case when I visited in 2005. 2 rooms w/permanent collection, the rest exhibition.

I've only been in the Queen's Gallery twice. From what I remember (may be a bit foggy) several rooms were "permanent temporary" exhibitions. They were called temporary but they were still on view a couple of years later. Then there were the real "temporary temporary" rooms.
