Queens Day Solo Trip..
I always have fun at street festivals and acquaint myself with people pretty easily usually -but- I'm wondering if visiting Amsterdam by myself on Queens is the wisest idea. Ideally I'd stay in a Hostel and pair with other people visiting the city but I've never actually travelled by myself so I don't know how to proceed. My week+ in Europe is more about spending a few days in Stockholm and Bergen but since this festival was happening around the same time I thought I'd see what all the madness was about. I'm 26 male... Anyone done this by themselves already and have a positive experience?

Anyone done this by themselves already and have a positive experience? A couple of times alone and then with a friend. I have more fun alone because I meet more locals. How to proceed? Just keep a beer in your hand and keep your elbow working like everybody else. I'm planning my trip for this year. I hang out at the Spui square. Good music and not quite so crowded as other areas I think. Great party. Don't miss it. I suggest that you get a room ASAP. Arrive at least a day early. Many people will be coming to Holland for the tulips also. See Keukenhof Garden when you sober up, or before the party. |
Wear something orange. Essential.
Make the most of it - next year or the year after it will become Kings day! |
Thanks for the great info! Making my reservations now.
