Quality hotels in Prague?
Hi - I would like your comments on a good quality and luxurious (4*+) hotel in Prague - it is my 40th birthday soon, so myself and my girlfriend would like to stay somewhere special in Prague. Any suggestions?

Thanks, John. Chester UK

You might as well stay at the place where all the stars and heads of state stay when they're in Prague: The InterContinental. The location can't be beat and it's as nice as they get in Prague. But, you'll be giving up a lot of quaint, charming places in lieu of modern amenities.

I would say that any of the 4 or 5 star hotels would suit you quite well, and you have the advantage of reserving them on-line. check it out at www.travelguide.cz

"Good Quality" may be defined differently by different people. We define it as a hotel in a good location, with good food for breakfast, friendly staff, charm of the country, parking nearby, reasonable price and (I cannot say this enough) good location. If you choose just based on luxury and stars, you may or may not miss out on really experiencing and enjoying your visit to Prague. Good Luck.

Just back from Prague. The Adria is a few minutes walk from Old Town and is very nice. I haven't seen it mentioned in these posts but don't miss the Black Light Theatre production of Faust. Very little English but an amazing show.

We stayed at The Forum Hotel in Prague. Very nice, good food, right on the subway line two stops from Wenceslaus Square. Immaculate rooms, luxurious lobby, all amenities. A tower overlooking the city.
