Quaility Madrid Hotel recommedations

I know this has been asked countless times, but what Madrid hotel you highly recommend?
Location wise I'm good with City center (Gran Via, Sol) or anywhere near the Prado or Atocha. This hotel search has been a pain.

The Palace, now known as the Westin Palace.

I think a budget would be in order before anyone can make a decent recommendation. Have you read Maribel's Guide to Hotels in Madrid? It might help you narrow down your search.

I really like the Intur Palacio San Martin. Great central location but not noisy, near several metro stops, and it is priced very well compared to other 4* hotels.

What's a quaility hotel - I've not heard of quail as a Spanish specialty.

;-)

Robert's right, without stating a per night budget, giving and receiving recommendations is a fool's game.

I guess one that isn't old yet pricey , but in Madrid I know that's hard ;)

Maybe you should consider checking booking.com to see the ratings and guest reviews of hotels in the central area. Gran Via and Sol would not be at the top of my personal list of options when looking for a place to stay in Madrid.

The AC Hotel Recoletos by Marriott is a nice hotel that I've stayed in twice.

I think the location is very good, in between Retiro Park/the museums and the Gran Via/the pedestrian areas where the action is. You can walk to any of these locations but if you get tired you can easily catch the bus.
