Great place-- friendly staff--former convent--still used for some religious functions--in the heart of Travestre--many great restaurants nearby. Approx 2.4 miles from Collesium- not too far from the Vatician. Reasonably priced. We stayed there (family of 4) June 2008. Highly recommend it. Thanks. Judy |
Many pardons---3 spelling corrections--Coliseum, Trastevere and Vatican. Sorry... At the end of a long and tiring weekend!! Four beds--185 Euros. Good breakfast included.

Not hotels, but I can recommend these apartment agencies which rent by the night and are within your price range:

Hotel Casci in Florence. It's great value (although I stayed there several years ago so it may be a bit of $200). The quad is a large room with a double and twin beds. The bathroom is also a good size. Breakfast is included and the location is great.
Quads for $200 is going to be tough. That's high season, and quads are pricey in general. Venice is the priciest of the 3. An apartment may be a good alternative. |
I'd definitely look for apartments instead. Quads are relatively rare, and some of those are really too small to comfortably sleep 4.
A 1 bedroom apartment w/ sofa sleepers or daybeds in the living room would give you tons more space. And of course a 2 bdrm would be even better. |
