Quad room in Paris dad n 3 daughters
We will be in Paris the end of June 06. Any recomendations for accomendations for a quad room in the greater Paris area. The room or apt should be in a comvient location possibly 5th district.

I haven't stayed here, but Hotel Marignan fits your requirements.

Unless they are little ones, I'd suggest considering two adjoining or nearby rooms, either a triple plus a single, or two doubles. You get two bathrooms that way.

When I think of "the greater Paris area" I think of the suburbs. But the 5th is the Latin Quarter, right in the thick of downtown Paris. Which is it you're looking for?
We've had nice quad rooms at both the Hotel Duquesne-Eiffel and the Hôtel de France in the 7th - also chambres communicantes, which are two double rooms sharing a hallway and sometimes a bathroom. |
There is a plethora of apartment questions on here & that is certainly the way to go.

Another vote for the apartment, preferably one with two bathrooms! Start scrolling through the VRBO site, check the recs here for other sites, and also look at La Cigale...http://lacigaleparis.com/

If you want a quad room in a hotel in the 7th, we liked the Hotel la Bourdonnais last June for our family of four. They have two double beds, w/ one relatively newish bath. And room 513 (I think that's the number) has a view of the Eiffel Tower from its little iron balcony. The room isn't huge, but has a little entry way that can serve as a nice dressing room, especially since you have three girls. It also has a lift, and A/C. I think we paid about $225 through Expedia.

I had this problem last year. We ended up renting two rooms just as cheaply as a quad or an apartment. And the two bathrooms was a godsend.

nrudick: Apparently you didn't read the code of conduct when you registered 2 hours ago. Advertising and soliciting customer is not allowed here . . . .
Greginlh: How old are the girls and how long are you staying? If they are little girls - a quad room might work out. But if any of them are over about 12, you will definitely need 2 bathrooms - or at least a bathroom plus a wc. The best way to get that is to rent a 1 or 2 bdrm apartment. There are many threads on here w/ recommendations for apartments. But a great place to start is VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner). That site has MANY paris flats in all sizes/price ranges. |
Now that you found your airfare deal... it would make far more sense to continue your search for lodging advice by "topping" this (and your other) question which at least indicate _where_ it is that you'll need the room(s) for four.
Few people will think to associate a need for Paris hotel advice with a message header like "Happy days are here"! Best wishes, Rex |
I have stayed in Hotel de France, in a twin room, and my friend stayed in a quad room with her three children( well two twin ajoining rooms ) she found it to be perfectly fine.
