Quad in Venice

I am looking for a centrally located quad room (2 adults 2 children) in Venice for Spring 2006. I would like to keep the cost under $250. Any suggestions?

Welcome! Just a quick pointer for the future. I saw that this is your first post. FYI - When looking for your previous posts, you can click on your name and a list will appear on the left of all of your threads. The search functions are not the best for keeping up in a timely fashion!

Anyhow, answering your question. Several on the board have recommended a website which I found very useful. www.venere.com has more than 200 hotels in Venice that offer quad occupancy. I'd say once you have some hotels narrowed down, post them here and ask specific questions. Hope this is enough to get you started.

Also, check out www.traveladvisor.com for reviews.

:)

Depending on how long you will be in Venice, you may also consider an apartment.

Pensione Wildner does have quads in your price range www.veneziahotels.com. When we looked for quads we emailed hotels directly as some do not list their quad rooms.

My family of 4 has visited Venice twice and we enjoy staying in an apartment.

www.alcampaniel has a great low budget apartment. It is around 100 Euro per night, depending on the season.

http://www.palazzettodaschio.it/ is another wonderful apartment that we have stayed in. It is a quite a bit more expensive, but this one books up quickly!

Hi frolic, We are staying (very shortly I might add) at Hotel Bernardi which I found from this message board. Although I have not been there yet, the price is good 210.00 Euro per night for a two room suite with one bath. It looks to be centeally located and got decent reviews. They can be reached @ [email protected] or www.hotelbernardi.com. Good luck with your planning.

Casa Cosmo is very centrally located and in your price range. I'd definitely consider them. You can check my review at tripadvisor.com from Sept. 2004. http://www.casacosmo.com/men%F9%20eng.html

We are booked to stay in Locanda Novo, a quad for 170E, 10 minutes from St. Marks. It got good reviews on tripadvisor. I'll try to remember to post how we liked it after we return.

I can recommend a great apartment called Gli Angeli. Its more of a B&B as the owner, Sonia, lives upstairs. Other people on this board have stayed there as well and if you do a search you should be able to come up with several threads with reviews and comments about it (all favorable). We rented directly from the owner but its listed on veniceby and venere. Here's a link for it http://www.veniceby.com/gliangeli/.

Thank you for your suggestions. Has anyone heard of Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo? It is relatively new and there are a few reviews online.

Try Pensione Accademia...They've gotten good reviews on tripadvisor, etc and quoted me 190E for a quad (summer rate).

Take a look at the Al Piave. I think it is listed on veniceby.com. We stayed there on 2 different trips and liked it very much. They have little apartments as well as rooms. It is between the Rialto and San Marco.

to colk: did you notice any smell of cigarettes in the room at gli angeli. I forgot to mention to sonia that we were non-smokers and wondered if it was an issue.
