The LSE Rosebery Hall I suggested above has individual shower and toilet rooms on each floor. There were two on my floor of maybe 10 rooms and I never had to wait. There is also a large fully equipped kitchen so you can cook your own dinner. My room had a small refrigerator.

Once again, to everyone, thank you for this invaluable advice! My itinerary has been in a continual state of change since day one but lately the changes have been minor ones. Although...I have been checking out the slow travel website and am wondering if spending an entire week on the Dingle peninsula might be a good thing. The more I think on it the more appealing it is.

WillTravel: Thanks! I wrote down the name/location of the Indian buffet restaurant on my notes for London. It sounds delicious and has gotten good reviews to boot! It is definitely a place I will find and have decided to try and take my friends there for lunch. Shower situation- I'm willing to shower at odd times for privacy so that works for me. =) I always get up fairly early (well, 5-6am) when I'm on vacation so do you find the earlier hours a good time, as well?

Spaarne: I keep going back and forth between St. David's Hotel and Rosebery Hall. I did see something that is interesting- Sadler's Wells theatre across the street from Rosebery? On one hand having a dance theatre that close could be a bonus- I could get tickets to a fabulous show then just take minutes to get back 'home'...but then again, does this mean an extreme amount of noise as shows empty each night?

No problem with the noise from Sadler's Wells. There isn't any. I didn't attend but the people standing outside were subdued. There are a couple of small pubs on the side street next to the theatre.

RosaMundi, I suspect that at 5-6 AM, you would be fine with having a private shower, although I rarely got up that early, I must admit.

For LSE options, I am going to be trying Roseberry Hall and Passfield Hall next month, so the above info on Roseberry Hall is interesting to me. I also stayed at High Holborn House on a previous trip. The location of HHH cannot be beat, but I was a little too slow when it came to booking it this time.
