Purchasing train tickets for Spain

I'm a first timer with train travel.

I can't figure out how to purchase tickets from www.renfe.es - the English site. It works on the Spanish site. Any suggestions?

Are there better/similar deals at other websites for train point-to-point travelling within Spain? Can I also reserve seats ahead of time online?

Click on the "Tiknet" logo first and then click on the English version.

Generally you can only reserve tickets 60 days ahead abd if you are ordering using a credit card you have to register and pay for the FIRST set of tickets ordered with the card and then appear in person to collect those tickets before you can order others. The box that pops up will explain that procedure.

Thanks Intrepid1 for clarifying the Tiknet logo part. I kept clicking on the flag right away and led me to another site.

Now are there alternate sites with better deals, where I would be able to have the option to reserve the seats?
